Fractional GTM engineer
The pipeline systems a GTM engineer builds, without the $150K seat.
A GTM engineer builds the machinery that creates pipeline: enrichment, intent signals, outbound, AI research and drafting, and the CRM plumbing underneath. I build those systems for B2B software companies on a fixed price, document them, and hand them to your team.
What a GTM engineer actually does
Marketing ops keeps the stack running. RevOps reports on it. A GTM engineer builds new revenue systems on top of it: a visitor identification pipeline that routes a pricing-page hit to the right rep inside an hour, an outbound engine on warmed domains that books meetings while the team sleeps, an AI SDR that researches an account, drafts the first touch, and triages the reply.
It's a new title with old roots. At Curve Dental I built the visitor and intent signals into an AI SDR that added 6 to 10 demos a month with no new headcount, and took inbound demos from 60 a month to 200+. At Deputy I built the content engine that took a new market from 0 to 100K monthly blog visitors and 800 trial requests a month. The title didn't exist yet. The work did.

A fit if
- You're a B2B software company with 20 to 200 people and pipeline depends on how many SDRs you hire
- You have Clay, HubSpot or Salesforce, and nobody who can wire them into a system
- You've read about AI SDRs and want one that works, built on your data, not a vendor's demo
- You'd rather own a documented system than rent an agency
Not a fit if
- You don't have product-market fit yet. No system fixes that.
- You want someone to send cold email from your main domain
- You need a full-time engineer embedded five days a week
How a build runs
Week 1: Scope on your numbers
Thirty minutes to hear what's stuck, then a written scope with the price, the stack, and what "done" means. No change orders.
Build: Your accounts, your tools
Everything is built in tools you own. You see the work in progress, not a reveal at the end.
Handoff: Documented and running
A written runbook, a recorded walkthrough, and two weeks of fixes after launch. Optional monthly tuning after that.

Frequently asked
About GTM engineering.
What is a GTM engineer?
A GTM engineer builds the systems that create pipeline: data enrichment, intent signals, outbound sequencing, AI research and drafting, and the CRM plumbing that ties them together. Marketing ops keeps the stack running. RevOps reports on it. A GTM engineer builds new revenue systems on top of it.
What does a fractional GTM engineer cost?
Fixed-price builds start at $2,500 for a Clay Credit Audit, $3,500 for an Outbound Engine Install, and $12,500 for an AI SDR Install. Ongoing retainers run $3,000 to $10,000 a month. Every price is on the pricing page.
Why hire fractional instead of full time?
Most companies that have a GTM engineer have exactly one, and the role's median salary is around $150,000. A fractional engineer gives you the builds without the seat, and hands over a documented system your team can run.
What tools do you build with?
Clay, HubSpot, Salesforce, Smartlead, Apollo, n8n, Zapier, visitor identification tools like RB2B, and Claude for research and drafting. Tools stay in your name and on your card. Nothing is marked up.
How long does a build take?
A Clay audit is five days. An outbound engine is about two weeks plus inbox warmup. An AI SDR install is four to six weeks, most of it spent on the signals and the handoff into your CRM.
Do you work with companies outside Atlanta?
Yes. Nearly all of the work is remote. I'm based in Atlanta and meet local clients in person when it helps.
Tell me what's stuck. I'll tell you what I'd build.
Thirty minutes. Bring your numbers. If a build isn't the answer, I'll say so.
